The Rogue Sport carries into 2022 unchanged aside from a small price hike over last year.
This SUV accompanies the bigger Rogue but shares only its name. Swoopy styling inside and out makes little impression unless swathed in a bright paint color. That’s a harbinger of things to come once you hop in for a drive.
The Rogue Sport pairs a low-power 4-cylinder with a CVT for acceleration best described as modest. Ride quality is comfortable enough, at least, and this small crossover SUV is nimble around town. Despite that low power output, the Rogue Sport’s fuel economy is just so-so.
Its interior has comfy front seats and a decent cargo area, though rear-seat riders will want both bigger door openings and more leg room.
Standard equipment is good for the money, including a 7.0-inch touchscreen for infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto plus Bluetooth, power features, and automatic emergency braking. Nissan’s trick adaptive cruise control and a surround-view camera system are options, but by then you’re looking at a $30,000 Rogue Sport.
