The two operators appear to have escaped major injuries after their crane truck fell onto its side

Cranes can be a dangerous tool, and one operator got a terrifying lesson in just why. As has the owner of a Ford F-150 Raptor, whose truck was in the wrong place at the wrong time, through no fault of their own.
The circumstance surrounding this accident aren’t exactly clear, but it appears that the crane was working next to a house, in whose driveway the F-150 Raptor was parked. While the load that the crane was carrying (if there was one at all) is never in frame in this short video posted to Instagram by @theraptorconnection, it apparently becomes too much for the truck.
Whether it was that the truck was carrying something too heavy, or that its stabilizers weren’t out is hard to say, but the truck can suddenly be seen shifting to the left. The operator, in a seat near the cab, starts to panic, and then bails, apparently making it clear of the truck before it falls over completely, though he is obscured by the crane once it falls.

Alarmingly, another worker with a hard hat can be closer to the house, right under the crane. He somehow becomes aware of the issue and starts running towards the truck. When he becomes aware that the crane is coming down, though, he dekes to his right, and out from under the crane. Fortunately, he can be seen after the equipment falls, and appears to be alright.
What certainly isn’t alright, though, is the F-150 Raptor. Although it was parked to the left of the crane’s arm, and so appears not to have been walloped by it, it didn’t escape injury. The cab of the truck carrying the crane tips over and onto the hood of the Ford, crushing it and doing significant damage to the front end of the vehicle. Adding insult to injury, a shorter part of the crane mast also lands on the truck, damaging it further.

How the house fared in all of this is not quite clear, either, but the ease with which the crane fell would suggest that the mast was between houses, rather on top of one. I don’t imagine that will make the owner of the F-150 Raptor feel much better, though.
