If you’ve ever played Grand Theft Auto V, you’ll know that one of the complaints was that the in-game cops were just a bit too heavy-handed in their operating procedure compared to previous installments. However, if video captured outside a Mississippi home is anything to go by, maybe the Rockstar Games developers were on to something.
Posted to TikTok, the clip shows what looks to be a Nissan Altima being pursued by law enforcement. Driving down a two-lane road that looks to be in a suburban setting, the Altima is closely followed by four Dodge Charger police cars. Although the clip is short, there’s plenty of ensuing action.

While barreling towards residential houses, the deputy behind the wheel of the lead Charger executes a PIT maneuver on the fleeing Altima. Although successful in spinning the getaway car, the officer appears to overcook the move, losing control of his own car and careering into an embankment meters away from civilians outside a home. The Charger continues into the residential driveway and appears to narrowly miss a parked car.
The driver of the stricken Altima appears to voluntarily exit the vehicle, placing himself on the ground as two marked patrol cars and an unmarked police car box them in. The driver is quickly restrained, but the clip cuts short of showing the aftermath of the crashed police cruiser.

According to News Channel 3 Memphis, DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office says that the chase started on Byhalia Road and Lee Road when the suspect refused to stop. The chase proceeded to enter Marshall County, where the suspect is reported to have hit a patrol car, while stop sticks that were also deployed earlier in the chase appear to have had little impact.
