It probably sounded like a cool idea, but all passengers must remain in the cabin while the car is traveling, for obvious safety reasons

Summer has descended upon the Northern hemisphere, beckoning people to seek respite in the cooling waters. However, one pickup truck owner from the Sharon region of Israel couldn’t resist the temptation and decided to convert the rear bed into a makeshift pool. Regrettably, the situation took a turn for the worse when children were spotted playing in the water while the pickup was in motion, prompting the intervention of the police.
A photo released by the local authorities captures the scene of four boys floating on a vinyl-covered pickup bed that has been transformed into a water-filled pool. A brief aerial video showcases the truck leaving behind traces of spilled water on a dirt road before eventually being pulled over by a police car.

According to reports from Israeli media, the truck with the impromptu pool was sighted earlier, navigating through traffic with two children swimming in the back. We don’t want to imagine what would have happened during sudden braking or emergency maneuvers, but fortunately, the incident concluded without harm, and everyone involved remained safe.
The driver received a citation for reckless driving and will have to explain himself to the judge. Hopefully, he will think twice before doing it again in the future, as this seemingly lighthearted and enjoyable endeavor could easily turn into a tragedy. Trucks are not designed to be converted into moving swimming pools, and passengers should always stay inside the cabin when the vehicle is in motion.
As reported by the Times Of Israel, the Sharon region experienced scorching temperatures, soaring up to 37°C (98.6°F) during the first heatwave of the year. This is likely what prompted the driver to do this wild conversion, reminding us of the crazy one-off Mini Cooper S XXL limousine from 2004. The DIY take was less luxurious but equally dangerous.
