Everybody dreams of owning a private jet, but they can be so expensive, and they’re a massively wasteful drain on the earth’s precious natural resources. Now there’s good news because Honda is here with a certified pre-owned program that kind of addresses both of those problems.
The Honda Aircraft Company has launched its very first certified pre-owned (CPO) program, just like the Honda automobile company. It allows people interested in a light jet of their own to reuse a previously owned airplane at a slightly reduced cost.
“As demand for the HondaJet continues to rise, pre-owned aircraft have become an increasingly important entry point into the HondaJet community,” said Amod Kelkar, Chief Commercial Officer of Honda Aircraft Company. “The CPO program extends our commitment to excellence to all aspects of the long-term ownership experience and ensures that all HondaJet owners, both current and future, will have the best ownership experience and peace of mind, regardless of their position in the ownership journey.”

To be fair, given the perils of being thousands of feet in the air, it makes sense that those looking for a second-hand HondaJet would prefer for it to have come directly from the manufacturer. And Honda guarantees quality and support to CPO customers.
All HondaJets sold through the program undergo rigorous inspection, expert maintenance, and more to ensure that they are safe and perform well. In addition, the company offers end-to-end services that include preparations for entry-into-service and post-sales support.

In addition to the 208-point inspection, all CPO aircraft are upgraded to their highest level of available performance, based on applicable service bulletins. Meanwhile, the buyers can be upgraded, too, with a complimentary FlightSafety Initial Pilot Training session, and a six-month/100-hour credit to be applied toward the cost of the Airframe Flight Ready Performance program.
HondaJet’s global fleet exceeds 230 aircraft worldwide that have flown a combined 185,000 flight hours across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
