When Porsche unveiled the 2024 Cayenne back in April, it confirmed that the range would continue to be topped out by the hardcore Turbo GT variant. What it didn’t make so clear was that the Turbo GT will not be offered in Europe due to emissions standards. However, Porsche is developing an alternative and it will end up being the most powerful Cayenne ever built.
European car reviewer ThomasGeigerCar recently had the opportunity to test out a prototype of this new model and shared some juicy details about it. While it is not yet clear what it will be called, he thinks it could be named the Turbo E-Hybrid. It will act as a successor to the Turbo S E-Hybrid version of the Cayenne offered prior to the 2024 facelift which itself packed quite a punch with 670 hp 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque.
In this clip, he reveals that the new European flagship’s plug-in hybrid V8 is good for over 500 PS (493 hp) while the electric motor has more than 200 PS (197 hp). All up, it will produce over 700 PS (690 hp) and more than the 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of the old Turbo S E-Hybrid. Porsche will sell it in both Coupe and standard SUV guises.

Those who place an order for the new model in Coupe guise will have the option of a GT Package. This package brings with it many of the same elements as the Turbo GT sold outside of Europe, including the fixed rear wing, the carbon fiber roof, and the revised suspension system.
While it is not yet clear how quickly the car will hit 62 mph (100 km/h), the reviewer does state that it will exceed 186 mph (300 km/h).
Porsche has not yet said when it will launch the new model but in Europe, it will apparently start at €220,000 ($247,000), making it the most expensive Cayenne ever.
