Love It Or Hate It, This Minecraft-ish Ferrari Purosangue Will Pixelate Your Brain

The Ferrari Purosangue is undeniably one of the most coveted SUVs on the market, owing to its Maranello origins, V12 engine, and sportscar-level driving dynamics. While we’ve already seen the Purosangue in various color variations, the pictured example with a beige and brown theme, spotted in Portugal, is perhaps the most unusual spec out there.

The livery’s attention-grabbing design is sure to turn heads, with the pixelated brown graphics on a beige background making you do a double-take. From a distance, it might appear like military camouflage, but up close, it looks like something out of Minecraft. For better or worse, the brown color theme remains consistent throughout the car, spanning from the bodywork to the brake calipers, Ferrari emblems, cladding, intake garnish, and the five-spoke alloy wheels adorned with gold-hued lug nuts.

Inside, the interior maintains the eccentric theme, with seats and a steering wheel upholstered in matching hues, complemented by brown leather and light brown Alcantara accents on the dashboard.

The distinctive Ferrari Purosangue was captured in Cascais, Portugal, by João Costa and featured on his Carspotting Instagram profile. Rumor has it (and the distinctive heart/peace emblem on the fenders appear to support this claim) that the SUV belongs to Italian businessman Lapo Elkann, renowned for his penchant for tailormade cars vehicles with intriguing specifications. It’s worth noting that Ferrari is known for taking legal action against owners who excessively modify their Ferraris, but Lapo Elkann is an exception to this rule due to his familial ties; he is the brother of Ferrari’s chairman, John Elkann.

In addition to the photo set, João Costa also shared a brief video showcasing the start-up and acceleration sounds of the Purosangue. In contrast to the prevailing trend of electrification, this performance-focused SUV is equipped with Ferrari’s magnificent 6.5-liter V12 engine, generating an impressive 715 hp (533 kW / 725 PS) and channeling power to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Certainly, this isn’t the first customized Purosangue we’ve come across. Just a few months back, we had the chance to admire another one-of-a-kind variant owned by Piero Ferrari himself. The only surviving son of Enzo Ferrari chose a more understated and timeless specification, blending a Verde Dora green exterior with Jade Brown leather for the interior. All these personalized options naturally come with an additional cost, pushing the starting price of the model to $398,350 in the U.S.
