The Toyota Land Cruiser Really Is The Most Indestructible Vehicle On The Planet | Carscoops
The heavily damaged car was driven to the workshop despite looking like it came out of a crusher

The Toyota Land Cruiser is famous for its ruggedness, but this pickup version pushed the limits by surviving a seriously gnarly rollover crash. The vehicle was captured making its way to a Toyota dealership service station with its bodywork all mangled, looking like it had been stomped on by a giant monster.
The Toyota branded model is hardly recognizable but looks like the single-cab pickup version of the Land Cruiser 70 Series. The driver must be doing some serious yoga moves to squeeze into that crumpled cabin, and both the front and rear sections are so battered they’re practically in the “point of no return” club.

The above video was shared on Instagram by Khalid Al Ajmi and attracted a lot of attention from Toyota fans. We spoke to Khalid and he told us that the owner of this Land Cruiser was driving it somewhere in the mountainous areas of Saudi Arabia when he fell from the top of the mountain. The vehicle rolled over several times but after it came to a rest, the owner – who miraculously survived without serious injuries – realized it was still working.
Any sane person would consider this a write-off, but there is a chance that the Land Cruiser – or parts of it – will be saved. The reason that the wrecked pickup is still driveable has largely to do with its ladder-frame underpinnings which appear to have taken the least damage. If the frame, engine, and suspension are repairable, then the stubborn Toyota could come back to life with the right parts. Still, a possible repair would require a lot of work as the damage is obviously quite severe.
Bear in mind that the immortal Land Cruiser 70 Series has been around largely unchanged since 1984, and recently received another facelift, set to further prolong its life. The model is still very popular in certain markets as a tried-and-tested alternative to modern trucks and SUVs.
