Drag racing on the street is one of the dumbest things you can do, and the more power your car has, the more dangerous it becomes. The driver of a BMW M4 CSL in the U.S. recently found this out the hard way.
Perhaps eager to show off their driving skills and the performance of the M4 CSL, the driver of the Bimmer lined up alongside a Dodge Charger for a drag race on what looks like a suburban road.

The driver of the BMW and the Dodge driver raced past several spectators. As the speeds start to build, the BMW appears to start losing grip.
The M4 CSL driver appears to keep the throttle pinned until they reach a large bump in the road. This seems to unsettle the car’s rear instantly, and it kicks to the right. The driver can’t correct the slide, and the BMW spears across the road and into the right lane. The rear end then spins out, and the M4 slides to the left, slamming into the curb and smashing into something.
We haven’t found any photos or videos showing the aftermath of the crash, but there’s a good chance that extensive damage has been done to the car. That’s a damn shame, as production of the M4 CSL is capped at just 1,000 units. However, if the vehicle ends up at a salvage hard, someone may buy it and try to save it.
