A Toddler Could Probably Give This Audi A5 A Better Paint Job

Painting a car is not easy. In fact, I’ve tried and failed miserably in the past and as you can see from these images, so has the person that painted this Audi A5 Sportback.

We don’t have many details about what is going on here, other than what these Facebook images themselves show. But from these images alone, it’s safe to conclude that a handyman could get a better result using a paint roller designed for a house.

The German sedan has been sprayed in a fresh shade of white but for some strange reason, it doesn’t appear as though any taping was used. As such, the windows were not tapped up, nor were the headlights, taillights, wheels, badges, grilles, or air vents. Instead, every single piece of the body is bathed in white paint while the windows themselves are also covered in a thin layer of white, as is the rear diffuser area which should be painted in a contrasting shade of gloss black.

Things look even worse on a closer inspection. One image of the car’s front quarter panel shows that the paint has been sprayed on very unevenly and that it has started to run, an obvious sign of a very poor paint job. There’s also a light mist of white paint across the headlights and taillights, while other close-ups show bubbling in the paint and one shows two large fingerprints in one of the body panels.

A look under the hood shows that it too was painted without the engine being covered. As such, there’s heaps of overspray visible, including across the air box and air intake. Heck, even the windshield wipers have been covered in paint.
