The driver of an SUV allegedly involved in a hit-and-run somehow managed to walk away from a catastrophic crash after apparently running a red light and being T-boned in Tempe, Arizona. It’s a story that’s equal parts bizarre and reckless—one where seemingly no lesson was learned from the earlier incident, only to result in a much worse outcome.
In dramatic incidents like this, the only footage typically available comes from security cameras or the dashcams of motorists who happened to be in the right place at the right time. However, this particular crash was captured in full by the dashcam of a motorist who had allegedly been rear-ended by the SUV just moments before the situation escalated into disaster.

According to the poster, the driver of the silver SUV rear-ended the filmer while he was driving with his daughter. It’s unclear how bad this crash was but instead of pulling over and exchanging details, the other driver refused to stop. Towards the start of the video, he can be seen flipping off the man who was filming him—just before everything went horribly wrong.
After exiting the motorway, the driver ran a red light across an intersection. The SUV was then T-boned by a pickup truck. Most of the impact looks to have been sustained to the driver’s side rear door and the force of the shunt lifts the SUV onto two wheels and spins it around, before it takes flight and barrel rolls several times. The crash completely destroyed the vehicle.
Incredibly, the man who shared the video on social media says the driver managed to walk away from the crash, seemingly without any serious injuries, and even refused an ambulance ride to the hospital.
It’s unclear if the driver intentionally ran the red light or perhaps did so accidentally while distracted by the previous incident. Regardless, they could be in deep trouble with the authorities for causing the devastating crash. Here’s hoping that the innocent occupants of the pickup weren’t injured in the crash.
