Audi sales boss Wortmann will be promoted to VW Group’s top sales job, report says

BERLIN — Audi’s sales and marketing boss, Hildegard Wortmann, is being promoted to head sales at parent Volkswagen Group, a German press report said.

Wortmann, 55, will also be responsible for mobility services for the group, Spiegel magazine reported.

Wortmann moved from BMW to Audi in July 2019. She previously worked at Unilever and Calvin Klein.

The executive will also be given a seat on VW Group’s management board, boosting female representation among VW Group’s top management, Spiegel said.

Wortmann had only just extended her long-term contract as board member of for sales and marketing at Audi at the end of November.

Wortmann’s promotion is part of a leadership shuffle at VW Group due to be approved by the automaker’s supervisory board on Thursday.
