Five performance cars were swiped from a British business over the weekend, just a day before they were slated for a track day. As a result, Car Chase Heroes found themselves in a bind and had no choice but to cancel the event.
The theft occurred between midnight and 4 a.m. on Saturday at Tibenham Airfield in Norfolk. The stolen vehicles included a Lamborghini Huracan, Audi R8, Porsche Cayman, Mercedes-AMG GT, and a VW Golf GTI Clubsport. However, the thieves didn’t stop at just these five cars.

Speaking with Eastern Daily Press, Car Chase Heroes spokesman Nik Coleman explained that the company, which operates over 100 cars, was targeted when the thieves broke into a key safe and took all the vehicle keys. Over 900 attendees had been expected at the event, and several local residents reported hearing the stolen rental sport cars driving through their small village.
Coleman reassured those affected that alternative dates would be offered to everyone who had planned to attend.
“The company already has further events booked in Norfolk right through to 2026. We look forward to welcoming everyone back who should have driven this weekend, and many new customers too. All those affected will be offered alternative dates,” he said.
Locals have been asked to keep an eye out for the cars. The Lamborghini Huracan is painted in a bright shade of red, the Audi R8 has a gold/orange color, the Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster sports a black and orange livery, the Cayman is white, and the Golf GTI has a distinctive white and blue livery celebrating the Sale Sharks rugby team.
The Norfolk police are investigating the crime and want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the theft or may be able to assist in the investigation. All five vehicles are said to have been insured, and the cars have an estimated combined value of around £450,000, or just over $600,000.
