On the bright side, the Wrangler was already a convertible

Bridges list their clearance for obvious reasons, but it appears one Michigan car hauler wasn’t paying attention.
In a Facebook post, the Ann Arbor Fire Department said they responded to a reported bridge collapse just before 6 PM on December 15th. However, when they arrived, they quickly discovered a car hauler had struck the bridge and ripped the roof off a new Jeep.
The car hauler left the scene by the time authorities arrived and this caused them to joke a “dealership is getting a convertible tomorrow they didn’t order…” Despite having a sense of humor about the situation, the fire department noted the incident could have been much more serious. Thankfully, the collision seems to have been relatively minor as the fire department removed debris from the road and the Michigan Department of Transportation inspected the bridge for structural damage.

The department then posted a follow up with dashcam video taken by a fellow motorist. As you can see, the car hauler was traveling in the right lane and appeared to have a Jeep Wrangler on the top deck. Everything was going fine until the car hauler hit the bridge, which sliced the roof off the Jeep while also causing a burst of sparks.
The driver of the dashcam-equipped vehicle dodged the debris as best as they could and pulled over to the side of the road behind the car hauler. The clip ends there, but the two presumably shared insurance information if the vehicle was damaged.
