Enjoy The Karmic Justice Served On This Coal-Rolling Pickup | Carscoops
It might be rare but watching a police officer nab a rude driver always seems to make the world feel a little bit better

We’ve all been there. We see someone do something on the road that’s so dumb, unsafe, or illegal that we’re wondering why a police officer couldn’t have just been there to do something about it. In this story, one coal-rolling pickup that thought they’d literally and figuratively dust a car on the highway ended up doing it right in front of a speed trap. Lean back, kick your feet up, and enjoy a moment where the cop was exactly where they needed to be for once.
This short and soundless dashcam video clip comes to us from u/Yuyu_Z over on Reddit. In it, we see a pickup that appears to be tailgating a Toyota 4Runner-sized SUV in lane two despite the fact that lane one is wide open. That alone is a pretty bad driving habit but it’s one of the few traffic infractions on display that the driver probably wasn’t cited for.
That’s because before the cars get in view of the upcoming speed trap, the driver of the pickup guns it and slides over to lane one. The diesel engine under the hood begins pouring black smoke out of the tailpipe and the truck accelerates past the SUV and then immediately drifts back into lane one.

As the camera car drives under an upcoming bridge we spot a white police SUV that had been sitting on the shoulder. It’s already beginning its pursuit of the truck driver and the white SUV that the pickup passed is moving over to the fast lane to get out of the way of the cop. Well before the clip ends we see the patrol car stopped right behind the RAM pickup on the side of the road.
Bad driving habits should be something that we all aim to cut out on our own. It’s nice though to see that every once in a while, when someone doesn’t keep their act together, that the authorities are there to put them in check for the rest of us.
