Flamboyance Tees Off: Mansory’s Garia Supersport Golf Cart

by Thanos Pappas

Mansory has carved out a flamboyant niche in the high-end tuning industry crafting extreme bodykits for exotic and luxurious rides, usually in eye-catching (or -bleeding) color combinations. Now, it has set turned its sights on the world of golf carts again, because, you know, why settle for mundane when you can demand attention in every corner of your life, including while chasing a tiny white ball?

The foundation for this creation is the Garia Supersport, a luxury golf cart that serves as the canvas for Mansory’s artistic touch. Originally designed by the Mercedes-Benz Style department in 2016, the styling of the Supersport incorporates references to production models and concept cars from Mercedes-Benz and Smart. These design cues can be seen in various elements, such as the shape of the grille, the LEDs, and the side openings.

Mansory took all those features to the next level, without caring about the cost. The entire bodywork is crafted from forged carbon, exhibiting a signature weave pattern that closely resembles the bodykits found on hypercars. Furthermore, it enhanced the design with larger-diameter alloy wheels paired with low-profile tires, a front skid plate styled like a diffuser, a custom grille, fender extensions, and turquoise accents adorning the entire bodywork.

The exposed cabin is upholstered in turquoise leather featuring Mansory lettering on the seats and matching seatbelts. The dashboard is also covered in the same material. In terms of features, the interior is equipped with a 10.1-inch infotainment system, a roof-mounted Bluetooth audio system, and an integrated refrigerated compartment, all of which are inherited from the standard Garia Supersport.

The Garia Supersport might look sporty but it is not actually fast, as the street-legal golf cart is equipped with a solitary electric motor that generates 11 hp (8 kW / 11 PS). Due to regulatory restrictions, its top speed is limited to 43 mph (70 km/h) in Europe and 25 mph (40 km/h) in the US. However, the range is quite impressive, as the 10.24 kWh lithium-ion battery enables a coverage of up to 50 miles (81 km) on a single charge, which should be more than sufficient for most golf courses.

Mansory has not disclosed the pricing for the tuning package, but considering the use of high-end materials, it is likely to be one of the most expensive golf carts available on the market. The tuner said that customers can choose any desired material for the exterior and interior modifications. Interestingly, this is not the first time Mansory has ventured into the realm of golf carts. In 2013, they introduced their own version of the Garia Roadster and currently offer a range of accessories for all Garia models, although the Supersport stands out as their most impressive offering.
