Hitting A Porsche 911 Is How This Toyota Driver Learned To Look Both Ways When Crossing The Street | Carscoops

One of the very first things we all learn as youngsters is to look both ways while crossing the street. The consequences of not doing just that can be literally life-threatening. Thankfully, for one driver of a Toyota C-HR, it’ll likely just cost them whatever it takes to repair a Porsche 911.
The video comes to us from online where it’s spreading a lot faster than either car was going when it was shot. In it we see a pulling out into the road, presumably to turn left. In the distance is a blue Porsche 911 approaching at what seems to be a consistent and reasonable speed.
Somehow the next few seconds get continually stranger as the Toyota makes numerous small moves into the lane and the Porsche also continues to advance. As the two get within interaction range the C-HR stops and it seems as though the Porsche takes this as their opportunity to roll through. Instead, that’s just about the moment that the Toyota driver hits the gas and smashes into the side of the expensive German sports car.

From what we can see in the video it looks as though the Toyota driver never takes their eyes off of the near side of the road. We can’t be sure but their passenger seems to follow that same pattern. The Porsche driver is getting some flack online as well since they put themselves in a position to get hit.
There are seemingly more questions than answers as a result of this video. Why was someone recording at this time and location? Why did the Porsche driver continue moving when they could likely see that the Toyota driver wasn’t even looking at them?
And why for the love of all blue sports cars did the Toyota driver not look both ways before preceding? How is the passenger in the C-HR not screaming for the driver to stop? In any case, it’s probably a lesson that they won’t ever need to learn again. In fact, all three people involved probably walked away from this with a little more wisdom.
Wow, that Porsche came out of nowhere!
