Impatient Chevy Driver Faces The Wrath Of Karma After Speeding Through Traffic

Offbeat

A number of motorists in the city of Minneapolis have been fortunate to avoid serious injury after the driver of a Chevrolet SUV sped through traffic in a bizarre incident in early April.

Dashcam footage of the incident shows the cammer driving along the center lane of a three-lane highway with a Toyota Camry in the left lane and a Lexus RX in the right lane. Out of nowhere, a silver Chevrolet SUV comes into view, speeding in between the tight gap between the cammer and the Lexus, narrowly avoiding both of them.

Moments later, however, the driver of the Chevy begins to merge into the lane-lane but failed to realize that a Mazda3 sedan up ahead was also changing into the left lane. While the driver of the Chevy had time to brake in order to avoid a collision, they instead attempt to slow down and cut between the Mazda and the crash barrier.

It doesn’t go well and the Chevy ends up clipping the rear of the Mazda3, briefly sending the SUV up onto two wheels. It then crashes back down to the pavement and skids across the highway, only coming to a stop along a grass verge on the side of the highway.

The Chevrolet appears to have suffered the most damage of the two vehicles as the right front wheel and suspension appear to have taken the brunt of the impact. We don’t get a particularly good view of the Mazda’s rear-end but it may have escaped with minimal damage, albeit with some scuffed bodywork.
