Impatient Porsche Cayenne Driver Gets Instant Karma In Colorado Springs | Carscoops
It turns out that big heavy vehicles can be even harder to control in cold weather

We all lead busy lives and need to get stuff done to be our happiest selves. Sometimes though, it’s important to slow down and prioritize safety above productivity or a quick commute. One Porsche Cayenne driver just learned that lesson the hard way.
This accident takes place in my former hometown of Colorado Springs which also served as the launching spot for the 2,000-mile road trip that we took in a 2022 Lexus GX. That’s why this video of a Cayenne driver trying to hastily navigate cold suburban streets on a Reddit thread by user TheTurtle first caught my eye.
In the video we see the Cayenne in lane two leave a stop light at the intersection of Barnes and Iron Horse. This section of the Springs is known to locals for open roads and higher traffic speeds. The Cayenne driver, seemingly unhappy with having to sit behind a white Nissan ahead of it, darts into lane one and speeds up.

As it speeds past the Nissan it sounds as though the driver hits the accelerator just as the road bends to the left. At the same time, they shift back over to lane two in what seems to be an attempt at passing a white Jeep in lane one. What they may not have recognized is that the Jeep was shifting into lane two as well.
The Porsche moves too far over, ultimately into the bike lane and then onto the shoulder before smacking directly into a boulder placed between the curb and the sidewalk. That boulder causes the Cayenne to spin back into the middle of traffic and across both lanes before it comes to a sad slow stop.

The road conditions look slick and cold as we note the snow on the ground and water on the road. It’s possible that the Cayenne slipped on a low traction patch of road or that cold tires made it harder to correct an ill-chosen course. We can’t be sure but what we do know is that a calm, courteous, and safe commute would’ve been a better choice for this Porsche driver.
