A sideshow taking place in Vallejo, California, on Sunday evening turned violent, resulting in a crash, a shooting, a fire, and the looting of a 7-Eleven convenience store. People who witnessed the event described it as pure “chaos.”
Based on an Instagram video posted by @imfromthebaybitches, the altercation seems to have started when a jacked-up white pickup truck crashed into a Mustang while exiting an intersection closed off by attendees of the sideshow, who had been engaging in burnouts. Following the crash, those in attendance began surrounding the lifted GMC Sierra, climbing onto its hood and opening its doors.
Surveillance camera footage from inside a nearby 7-Eleven store provides a glimpse of the chaotic scene, showing a man, believed to be the truck’s driver, rushing into the store and subsequently being accosted by a group of individuals who appear to have chased him inside.

Police report that the man was shot during the altercation, and the truck, believed to be his, was set ablaze. According to Kron4, the injured individual was transported to the hospital following the incident, although his condition remains unclear. Subsequent to the man’s departure from the 7-Eleven, other individuals began to enter the store, pilfering beer, food, and various other items. While none of the store’s employees sustained injuries, the manager estimates that up to $10,000 worth of merchandise was stolen.
Authorities indicate that they began receiving phone calls concerning the incident at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 25. Residents and witnesses expressed distress upon learning that the violent episode unfolded in their neighborhood.
“I saw chaos, destruction, and violence in my own neighborhood a block away. I’m tired of it,” a witness who asked to remain anonymous told Kron4. “As much as it costs to live in California, and this is what we have to deal with… is just ridiculous.”
Vallejo police have confirmed that they are actively investigating the incident and are urging anyone with information regarding the events to come forward and contact them.
