A 29-year old chap might not have had any clothes on when he fought police and took their truck in Las Vegas recently but he racked up charges all the way to jail. Video shows him fighting with officers minutes before he stole their patrol cruiser and crashed into an innocent third party. Now, he is learning the hard way that what happens in Vegas sometimes gets told to the rest of the country.
The incident unfolded late on a Tuesday night, around 11 p.m., in the vicinity of Blue Diamond Rd. and Buffalo Dr. A video captured the man in a rather heated dispute with the police, and it appeared that he had decided to forgo his attire for the occasion. According to some onlookers, it seemed the officer’s initial concern was to prevent him from venturing into traffic.
Kyle Even, the person who took the video was as shocked as anyone watching it unfold. “You got a cop and a naked dude. I thought he was going to be handcuffed and thrown to the ground… The cop kind of seemed he was, like, protecting him from somebody coming through and hitting him.”

The video also shows the man leaving the scene while the police truck continues to flash its lights. Law enforcement officers said that they chased him down Rainbow Blvd where they saw him drive into the oncoming lane at times. Then, at Hacienda Ave., he hit a passing Ford Explorer which ended the chase.
Unfortunately, two occupants of that SUV suffered injuries that District Attorney Steve Wolfson described as “life-altering,” as reported by 8 News Now. One passenger is reported to have experienced paralysis on one side of their body. All parties involved were transported to the hospital, where they remained as of Thursday morning. The 29 year old suspect is scheduled for his initial court appearance on Tuesday, November 7th.
He is currently facing a multitude of charges, including battery of a protected person, grand larceny of a vehicle, robbery, DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm, and reckless driving resulting in death or substantial bodily harm.
