No One Was Injured After This C7 Corvette Crashed And Split In Two In California

Offbeat

A C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray was split in half following a recent crash in Roseville, California but remarkably, the driver managed to escape without injury.

Details about what led to the crash are unclear but video footage shows the aftermath and it is not a pretty sight. Evidently, this Laguna Blue Corvette will now be heading straight to a scrapyard.

Images show that the rear half of the sports car, including its cabin, was left resting in the emergency lane of the road after the impact while the front half of the car and its engine can be seen next to a tree. While unconfirmed, it seems likely that the driver of the SUV lost control and slammed side-on into the tree.

Corvette Blogger reports that speeding was involved, which isn’t much of a surprise given the damage that the car has sustained.

Taking an up-close look at the Corvette, it seems as though the passenger cell survived without too much damage, which would explain why the driver wasn’t injured. Had the car hit the tree on the driver’s door, it likely wouldn’t have split in half like it did and the driver may not have been as fortunate as they were.
