If you spend a day in New York City, you’re bound to see some strange, unusual, or crazy things. We’d fit this particular incident into the ‘crazy’ category.
We recently stumbled across this video on YouTube shorts and while we don’t have much context to go with it, such as when it was filmed, what we can see is a matte black Ferrari 488 Pista performing a series of donuts in the middle of a New York City street. Yep, that’s definitely crazy.
It appears as though the driver of the 488 was cruising through the city’s streets alongside a bright red Lamborghini Aventador SVJ when the Ferrari owner decided to have a little fun in the center of the street. After the donuts, the driver spins around, narrowly avoiding a curb, and then proceeds to spin up the rear wheels of the mid-engined supercar, this time while driving the wrong way down Fifth Avenue.

Making the stunt all the more dangerous is the fact that there are scores of pedestrians on the sidewalk and had the driver misjudged the donuts or burnouts just slightly, they could have easily lost control and hit some of those bystanders.
Towards the end of the clip, we can also see a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder and a new BMW M3 in the background, perhaps indicating that the 488 Pista and Aventador were participating in some kind of exotic car cruise or rally. We’ve been on a few of these in the past and can tell you that quite often, many of the car owners participating truly believe that they run the road and can do whatever they want.
