A group of car-nappers made off with three fancy rides and one boring one, which they used as a makeshift battering ram to breach the South Windsor dealership

The owners of a dealership in South Windsor, Connecticut, woke up this morning to discover that a trio of high-end vehicles was stolen overnight. Police estimate that the $380,000 worth of vehicles were stolen in the dead of night.
In all, the dealership lost four vehicles: a 2022 Ram 1500 TRX, a 2022 Dodge Charger, a 2015 Porsche 911 GT3 RS and a 2022 GMC Terrain that was used to ram through the gate guarding the dealership’s lot and spare the high-performance vehicles.
The theft occurred at 1:10 a.m. on October 11, reports WFSB. The culprits managed to make their way into the lot, then forced their way into a dealership building by breaking a window, and drove away with the vehicles.

Shamar Mahon, the son of Mike and Tony Auto Sales & Service’s owner, said that the theft made him feel exasperated. In addition to the vehicles, the gate that was supposed to protect them was also expensive.
“It’s tough waking up in the middle of the night to see we’ve been violated,” said Mahon. “We’ve invested tens of thousands of dollars to make sure that this doesn’t happen again. You’ll put in the proper precautions. We installed that gate, but it seems like no matter what we do, we can’t escape from the grips of these criminals.”
Although the investigation into this theft is still active, police said that one of the vehicles’ tracking equipment suggested that it had made its way to New York City by 3:45 a.m. Unfortunately for Mike and Tony Auto Sales, this is neither the first time its vehicles have been stolen, nor the first time they have ended up in New York State.
Indeed, South Windsor’s town manager, Michael Maniscalco, claimed that automotive crime in the area has been rising in recent years. For now, the dealership has filed a police report, and anyone with any information relating to this theft is asked to reach out to South Windsor police.
