Vandalized Toyota GR Corolla Looks Like Edward Scissorhands Went Joyriding | Carscoops
The new owner of the GR Corolla Circuit Edition imported it to Poland and is currently searching for parts to put this wicked little hot hatch back together

- A Toyota GR Corolla with no visible exterior damage ended up totaled and at a salvage yard.
- It turns out that it was the victim of vandalism and has an interior slashed countless times.
- Now, a new owner in Poland bought it and is planning to return it to its former glory.
Some people are completely unreasonable and decide to damage property for no good reason. One Toyota GR Corolla owner found a case of exactly that when they came out to their car one day. The interior looked like someone had trapped a live adult cougar in it. Now, the new owner in Poland is importing it and working hard to get it back into tip-top shape.
The story about how exactly the car ended up with this damage is murky at best. As lot 38661748 it was listed with “Vandalism, None” as its “Primary damage.” From the photos included in the auction, the body does indeed appear intact.

Someone on the GRCorollaForum claimed that the story is pretty wild. “Someone mentioned it in another thread. Crazy (ex) girlfriend is the story. Too much to replace the interior, they just wrote it off…,” they said. At the time of the auction, the car had just 11,623 miles on the odometer. How much does a GR Corolla in such a condition go for? Evidently, $31,725. That doesn’t account for the shipping fees to the new owner in Poland.
That owner has now popped into several different GR Corolla communities online searching for some help. Their cause appears to be incredibly noble.
“I recently made the decision to make one of my automotive dreams come true and purchased a Toyota GR Corolla,” he wrote on the forum. “This model is not available for sale at all in Europe, but I liked it so much that I decided to make the effort to import one from the United States.”
“The car has been a victim of vandalism in the past and now needs practically the entire interior replaced. As a car enthusiast, I am hoping for your help in organizing the parts necessary to restore this Corolla to perfect condition,” he added.
If that’s not worthy of applause, nothing is. He’s still working to obtain all of the necessary parts so if you happen to know of some spare interior bits from a GR Corolla perhaps you can help!
