Would You Propose To Your Partner With A Car-Inspired Engagement Ring?

If you’re a petrolhead and you’ve been thinking about proposing to that special someone, these automotive-inspired wedding rings will probably make quite an impression.

These rings have been brought to life through a partnership between Scrap Car Comparison and British jeweler Edward Fleming. The rings use materials from scrapped catalytic converters and custom rings inspired by any car that can be designed. Rings inspired by the Mini Cooper, Lamborghini Huracan, and Ford Fiesta are the first ones to have been manufactured.

The first ring has been inspired by the Mini Cooper and comes complete with red, white, and blue stones, as well as Union Jack engravings around the band. The diamond setting for the ring is also based on the car’s Minilight alloy wheel design. Shoppers wanting to go that extra mile can also have personalized engravings made on the inner-band of the ring.

The Ford Fiesta-inspired ring is particularly striking with its diamonds set in such a way that they are supposed to mimic the headlights of the ever-popular hatchback. The band is also finished in a shade of royal blue.

If the Mini Cooper and Ford Fiesta are a little too conservative for you and your partner, Edward Fleming has also created a ring inspired by the Lamborghini Huracan. It is available in yellow and white and the diamond setting is inspired by the tailpipe design of the Italian supercar. The ring also features carbon fiber detailing and angular edges just like the real car.
